Walkers reviews and feedback
from 2025 and 2024

Cleveland Way 2025

'We're back safe and sound in the USA; recovering from some minor jet lag. Thanks for setting up our trip. We had a really good time.  The B&B's and Inns that you arranged were definitely a notch above.

Jim and Dina from USA

Offa's Dyke Path and Cotswold Way 2025

'I just want to say thank you for organising everything for both walks, we had a great time although it was tougher walking than expected. Even though the distances were less than we have walked previously the terrain, the stiles/gates, vegetation and the footing made it slower and tougher. None of which detracts from how spectacular some of the scenery was, and how much we enjoyed the hospitality and vibe.'

'I think many of the memories of the walk will end up being about the hosts and experiences rather than the vistas.'

Andrew and Mal from Australia

Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2025

'I wanted to get in touch with to say thank you so much. The trip you pulled together for me was everything I had hoped for. I had an absolutely wonderful and have recommended Embark to people I met on my travels as well as when I came home — may have already started looking at the other trips you specialise in!!

'Thank you for all your work on this. You made my first big solo trip a possibility and a wonderful experience.'

Inca from UK

Hadrian's Wall 2025

'Just a note to say how much Paul and I enjoyed our 4 days on Hadrian's Wall this week.

'Amazing views and sights on the Wall Path. Fairly tough on some sections and a few of the descents were a bit tricky, at least for us two, being in our mid 70's. Vindolanda was fascinating with a good tour and about 20 archaeologists hard at work. From Irthington, the Aviation Museum (about 1.5 miles away) is well worth a visit including a look inside the Vulcan V bomber.'

 Phil from UK

Anglesey Coast Path 2025

'We returned yesterday from our three days walking and we loved every moment. You had organised everything beautifully, it all worked so smoothly, from luggage transfers to key box numbers, location of Waitrose even! '

'The walk itself was really beautiful, albeit we only did the last 55 miles, but lovely varied landscape from cliffs and beaches to woodland and meadowland. The map and book were very helpful, especially the map, but it was so very well waymarked that it was nigh impossible to go wrong. '

Lulu from UK

Ridgeway 2025

'I just wanted to send a note to say how much I enjoyed my walking holiday! My only regret of the whole experience was not to take a few more days to finish the Ridgeway, but at least I have something to look forward to! All of the accommodations you booked were excellent,.'

'would definitely suggest to everyone to go into the village of Ashbury for their lunch. I also really appreciated the guides and found it really helpful for planning my days.'

'Again thank you so much I’ll definitely be in touch for either the second half of the Ridgeway or another walk!'

Catherine from UK

Anglesey Coast Path 2025

'We are just heading back from Bangor this morning after a fabulous 5 days walking with a great weather window too!'

'Thank you for all the terrific organising as ever.'

 Fiona from UK

Cotswold Way 2024

'We've done a number of these walks over the years and have always been impressed with the service from the different companies involved. However, Embark added a couple of small - but very useful - extras. Firstly, we very much appreciated the personalised bound booklet with specific information relating to the day's walk and how to find the accommodation at the end of the day, plus details of local taxi companies and bus/train services should they be required.'

'Extremely well organised with impressive attention to detail. We would definitely use Embark again.' Jane from UK

Glyndwr's Way 2024

'So thank you very much for all your planning and organisation, and the amount of detail you put into the preparations. The guidebook was easy to use, and it was really helpful to have the accommodation and pick up points clearly marked.'

'It all went very smoothly, which enabled us to just concentrate on the walk and enjoy ourselves. It’s quite a hard walk with all the hills, but very tranquil with some cracking views. The weather was rather disappointing and it was pretty misty and boggy, but it could have been a lot worse. Glyndwr’s Way has been on our wish list for quite a few years now, so it feels really good to have finally walked it.' Susan and Harry from UK

Northumberland Coast and Castles 2024

'The trip was outstanding made so the detailed information provided, the way the information was presented, the reliable daily collection of the luggage and of course the fabulous walks and discoveries everyday. WE will recommend it to one on all.' Mark and Katherine from Australia

Offa's Dyke Path 2024

'We did have a brilliant time, and were so amazingly lucky with the weather. It was great not to have to worry about any of the practical arrangements for baggage, lifts and accommodation… that all worked really well. All the people we encountered in the hotels and B&Bs were very helpful and welcoming.' Jean from UK

Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2024

Everything was perfect, even the weather as you can see on the pictures. The organisation was very good and thought through, the accommodation was always very good and the transfers worked perfectly. We had a wonderful holiday, one that we will never forget. Such a lovely landscape and so many nice people there.' Alexia and Mike from Austria

Hadrian's Wall 2024

'Had an absolutely superb walk, Jill - thank you for arranging. Howling wind, pelting with rain, bog underfoot, but just great walking days with my daughters. Will be in touch later in 2024 for next year’s version.' Neil from UK

Offa's Dyke 2024

'We enjoyed the drawn maps and small written descriptions, info in booklet regarding accommodation was wonderful .'

'Thank you for the superb work putting this all together.' Fiona from UK

Hadrian's Wall Path 2024

'We want to thank you for taking such care in organizing our Hadrian's Wall trip. The clear communication and timely responses meant a lot to us. As did the extra step you took reaching out to our hosts one day when we couldn't get through' Lara from UK

Ridgeway 2024

'We had a wonderful holiday. We enjoyed the beautiful walks and views and the weather was not too bad.'

'Thank you very much for organising this holiday for us. We are looking forward to our next.' Bea and Joost from Netherlands

Offa's Dyke Path 2024

'It was so helpful that you provided information regarding meals and the need for taking lunch with us.  We would have been hungry many days without your warnings.  It’s my recollection that your booklet was much more useful than those provided by the guiding companies on our previous trips.  We really felt the personal touch!' Susan, Barb and Gretchen from USA

Offa's Dyke Path 2024

'I had gorgeous weather after the first two days and when I was up on the ridge I felt like I could see to the ocean. It was stunning! And I saw loads of wild ponies. Some came right up to me at one point. And Hay-on Wye was lovely. Highly recommend people take a day if they can there!' Nicole from USA

Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2024

'We had wonderful stay in Wales. Especially, the first week in Pembrokeshire was an unforgettable experience. It’s such an amazing spot and we hope to return one day.

We felt that the parts of the Costal Path were well chosen. Every day was different. The weather was really good: we could say that we didn’t have any rain.

Everything was perfectly organised. We could just relax and walk: Thank you very much for enabling that wonderful experience!' M from Germany
